Educational Value

Singers in Kansas Youth Chorale will receive weekly choral training including music reading skills, tone production, blend, enunciation, balance and phrasing, and reflective listening. Students will sing both accompanied and unaccompanied choral works in multiple languages. Students will learn and apply musical terminology that will prepare them for future musical performance as an individual or ensemble member. Singers can expect multiple performance opportunities each semester, which creates the opportunity to work collaboratively with other ensembles and musicians, develop stage presence, and build their confidence as a singer.
